Golf is a year round game in Marbella. If you’re a serious golfer the best months are
Janary to April.
If you want be sure of some nice weather and enjoy the beach we'd suggest coming out late
May or June when its still not to warm to play golf and things are gearing up for the summer.
Green fees are often also cheaper this time of year.
La Cala has three quality 18 hole golf courses and the David Leadbetter Golf Academy offering expert tuition and learning programmes.
A well known course on the coast that offers golf amidst the orange groves is Los Naranjos, a friendly, good quality course in the medium price range.
If you are looking for a real challenge then head up into the hills to Monte Mayor, a one of a kind golf course that certainly offers a memorable game of golf but make sure you go armed with plenty of balls.
If you are looking for a decent driving range then the Magna Marbella Golf has a nice two tiered number, where you can blast out balls looking over San Pedro to the sea beyond. Perfect in the evenings to watch the sun go down and then have a drink in the Magna Café which has a wonderful terrace. |
